The full guide
What does a web development agency actually build?
We build five kinds of web product: marketing sites, SaaS applications, startup MVPs, e-commerce stores, and two-sided marketplaces or portals. Everything ships on React and Next.js, with a headless CMS where your team needs to edit content and cloud infrastructure we set up and keep running.
- Marketing and landing sites. Statically rendered Next.js pages connected to a headless CMS so you can change copy without a developer. Taplab is a CMS-driven agency site with lead capture.
- SaaS products. Multi-tenant apps with auth, billing, roles and dashboards. 5th Row is a members-only cinema club on Next.js with Stripe membership tiers, booking and city guides.
- MVPs. A scoped first version in 6-12 weeks that you can put in front of users and investors.
- E-commerce. Ponnadhar is a handloom saree store with full checkout, bKash and Nagad payments and delivery to all 64 districts of Bangladesh. Parno Clothing is a fashion storefront with checkout and stock sync.
- Marketplaces and portals. Fox Care is an Australian healthcare shift marketplace with AHPRA-verified workers, distance matching, award rates and automated weekly invoicing..
If you need native mobile alongside the web product, see mobile app development. We share the backend and auth between both.
How is web development priced?
Every project is priced as a fixed scope and a fixed quote after a discovery call. We don't publish a rate card, because the number depends on the count of screens, the integrations involved and whether design already exists; two "marketing sites" can differ by a factor of five in hours. What we can tell you up front is what each engagement includes and how long it takes.
| Project | Timeline | What's included | How it's priced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landing site (1-3 pages) | 1-2 weeks | Design, Next.js build, analytics, forms, deploy | Fixed quote after discovery |
| Marketing site (5-15 pages, CMS) | 3-6 weeks | Design system, headless CMS, SEO setup, lead capture | Fixed quote after discovery |
| MVP (web app, core flows) | 6-12 weeks | Auth, database, 3-6 core screens, admin panel, hosting | Fixed quote after discovery, milestones tied to demos |
| SaaS product | 10-20 weeks | Multi-tenant data, Stripe billing, roles, dashboards, API | Fixed quote after discovery, milestones tied to demos |
| E-commerce store | 4-10 weeks | Catalog, cart, checkout, payments, stock, order admin | Fixed quote after discovery |
| Ongoing development retainer | rolling | Fixes, small features, monitoring, priority replies | Monthly retainer sized to the hours you need |
Our quotes sit below a typical US or UK agency without cutting seniority. Rates vary widely by region and seniority; see Next.js developer hourly rates for the market picture. You get senior engineers at offshore rates, working your hours, and the quote is in writing before any code.
Why hire Next.js developers instead of a general web shop?
Because Next.js is the difference between a site that ranks and loads fast and a site that only looks good in a screenshot. Server rendering, the App Router, built-in image optimization and route handlers give you SEO, speed and an API in one codebase. A WordPress or page-builder shop can't add realtime features, Stripe subscriptions or role-based dashboards without bolting on a second system.
We've run Next.js in production on 5th Row, Studious Prep, Ponnadhar and Fox Care. That matters more than a framework badge: we know where App Router caching bites, how to keep Lighthouse scores above 90 on content-heavy pages, and how to structure a monorepo so a mobile app can reuse the same API later. If search traffic matters to you, our SEO and growth marketing team works on the same codebase, so technical fixes get shipped rather than listed in a report.

Which tech stack does ReliaBuilds use?
Our default stack is Next.js with TypeScript on the front, Node.js and PostgreSQL behind it, and Vercel or AWS underneath. We change a layer only when your product needs it, and we tell you why in the technical plan before anything is built.
| Layer | Default | When we pick something else |
|---|---|---|
| Frontend | Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript, Tailwind or SCSS | Vite + React for embedded widgets |
| Backend | Next.js route handlers, Node.js (NestJS or Express) | Python (FastAPI) for ML-heavy services |
| Database | PostgreSQL (Neon, Supabase) with Prisma | MongoDB for document-shaped data; Redis for queues and caching |
| Auth | NextAuth, Clerk or Supabase Auth | Custom JWT when you need SSO or unusual roles |
| Payments | Stripe (subscriptions, one-off, Connect) | bKash and Nagad for Bangladesh; PayPal on request |
| CMS | Sanity, Payload or Strapi | Contentful or Notion-as-CMS for small teams |
| Hosting and DevOps | Vercel, AWS, Cloudflare, Docker, GitHub Actions CI | Hetzner or DigitalOcean when cost per request matters |
| Monitoring | Sentry, uptime checks, Vercel Analytics | Datadog or Grafana for larger systems |
How does ReliaBuilds work?
We follow a five-stage process that puts a fixed scope and fixed quote in your hands before any code is written, then shows you a working build every week.
- Discovery (week 0). A call, then a written roadmap, a fixed scope and quote, and a technical plan naming the stack, integrations and risks.
- Design. A clickable prototype and a small design system so you approve flows before they're expensive to change.
- Develop. Weekly demo builds on a staging environment. Code lives in your GitHub organization and is documented as we go.
- Test. A security audit report and performance benchmarks before launch. Our cybersecurity team reviews auth, payments and data access.
- Launch. Zero-downtime deploy, monitoring and post-launch support. Most clients move to a monthly retainer sized to the hours they need, so the same engineers keep shipping.
No large upfront fee. We reply to every inquiry within 24 hours with a project assessment.
