Can an offshore team work Australian hours?
Yes, with a partial but daily live overlap, and a full written handover for the rest. Our team works across the UK, India and Bangladesh; the engineers covering Australian hours are in India (UTC+5:30) and Bangladesh (UTC+6), neither of which changes clocks. Australia is 2 to 5 hours ahead depending on city and season, so the Australian afternoon is their morning. We agree a daily call window in your day before the project starts.
The overlap is real but not the full day, and we'd rather say so. In practice that means a stand-up and decisions in the shared window, then the team builds while you finish your day, and you open your laptop to pull requests and a staging build. Perth has the largest overlap (about six hours), Brisbane and the AEST cities about four, and Sydney or Melbourne on daylight saving about three, assuming a 9:00 am to 6:00 pm UTC+6 day (India-based engineers have about 30 minutes less) and a 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Australian day. Daylight saving in Sydney and Melbourne moves the window by an hour twice a year. Our Asia-based team does not shift, so we reset the call time on the dates the clocks change. Weekly demos always sit inside your window, not ours.

How does a fixed quote work for an Australian client?
You get a written scope and one fixed quote after discovery, before any code is written. We do not publish a rate card, and we quote hourly rates only if you ask for a retainer. The figure moves only when the scope does.

Who owns the code, and where does the data live?
You own the code from the first commit. The repository is created in your GitHub organisation, the cloud and third-party accounts are opened in your name, and IP assignment is part of the standard contract. We will sign your contract or NDA if you prefer it.
Because hosting sits in your cloud account, you choose the region. If your data needs to stay in Australia, we can deploy to an Australian region of your provider. Tell us on the first call so it goes into the technical plan rather than being retrofitted. For customer data, health data or payments, a security audit before launch is worth scoping alongside the build.

We agree a daily overlap window in your afternoon, run stand-ups and decisions inside it, and send a written update at the end of our day. Pull requests and a staging build are waiting when you start. Urgent issues go by WhatsApp or email.
Can I start with a small test project?
Yes, and we recommend it. Pick a bounded piece of work, such as a prototype, an integration or a landing page, and agree a fixed price. If the code, the communication and the demo hold up, we move to a retainer with the same engineers. You keep the code either way.
